Born in 1975 and raised in Iksal, near the city of Nazareth, Israel. In 1998 Zoabi graduated from Tel Aviv University with a double degree in Film Studies and English Literature. He was awarded a three-year merit scholarship to pursue a Master’s Degree at Columbia University. In February 2005, he completed his M.F.A in Film Direction at Columbia’s School of the Arts. Zoabi has directed and written several narrative short films, as well as the full-length “Man without a Cell Phone.”
