Judas
(Russian Federation) 107 min. (2013) Fiction Full-length Feature
DIR Andrey Bogatyrev CAST Aleksey Shevchenko, Andrey Barilo

Judas, an experienced thief, steals the treasury of Jesus Christ from his disciples. He is caught in flagrant but Jesus  forgives him and proposes him to become his treasurer… a story of jealousy with an excellent cast, this Russian film is absolutely riveting.
It's a disturbing retelling of Jesus's story - one we all know - seen through the thoughts and actions of a rational thinking man who is not content simply to follow the Teacher; but devises ways to truly help him. Disturbing because this man starts out a beggar and whiner, a liar, untrustworthy, clearly a man who has seen and done a great deal of evil. The paradox is that he comes to see and understand Jesus more clearly than any of his followers. He sees the way to help him and stays with him as none of the others do. The film not only challenges your feelings but also your thoughts. It turns them around until you are not sure what is good and what is evil, and whether what you have believed all your life is true. Dialogue, story, acting encompass a beautifully told story

SOUTHERN UTAH PREMIERE: Watchers of the Sky (120 min.)
Watchers of the Sky
(USA) 120 min. (2013) Documentary Full-length Feature
DIR Edet Belzberg
Traversing time and continents this feature-length documentary examines the cycle of violence, and the world’s response, from a variety of angles – historical, psychological, political, legal, and experiential. Inspired by Samantha Power’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book, "A Problem From Hell," director Edet Belzberg brings viewers into traditionally inaccessible places and introduces memorable characters, weaving together four modern stories while uncovering the forgotten life of Raphael Lemkin, the tenacious inventor of the word ‘genocide.’ This incredible film takes you on a journey from Nuremberg to Rwanda, from Darfur to Syria, and from apathy to action.
